Our Design
Philosophy

“ A home is only a home,
because of the relationshipsnurtured within it.

Otherwise, it is just four walls
and a roof. ”

— T. S. Ting, EVE Founder

Enhance
relationships.

We believe fundamentally that, a beautiful home
begins with the relationships that are nurtured within
its spaces. It is where life is lived and loved, where
memories are made, and moments are cherished.

At EVE, we have come to believe in the capacity of
design to influence moods and emotions, and enhance
people’s wellbeing. By carefully curating every
element of our homes, we aim to create beautiful
spaces that enhance moods and emotions, and
encourage more, higher quality moments with one
another.

“ Do not wish to be
anything but what you are,

And try to be that perfectly. ”

— Saint Francis de Sales

Empower
everyday lives.

We believe a beautiful home is also a haven, a sanctuary
where one can completely be oneself, and free to express
the best authentic version of oneself.

By carefully considering the everyday lives of our
residents, and respecting their unique hierarchy of
values, we strive to create homes that empower
them with more time, energy and capacity, to focus
on the things that matter the most to them.

Be driven by ideas,
not hierarchy.

At EVE, the first few ideas on each project might provide a start –
but they’re rarely where we end. Because achieving excellence
requires lots of ideas – even the ones that don’t work.

That’s why we nurture a culture of creativity, of dreaming and
experimenting, of courage and sometimes craziness. Because success
often starts as a beautiful failure – an elegant concept emerging
from the half-thoughts and broken ideas that have come before.

(Inspired by "Be run by ideas, not hierarchy." - Steve Jobs @ D8.)

A culture of respect.

The people we work with at EVE aren’t "human resources."

They’re humans, and we treat them as such – with
respect and honesty. Respect for the time they need,
respect for their process, respect for the fact that
not every idea will work.

Creativity can be a fragile thing, so we give it the time
and space it needs to flourish. Because without the
freedom to fail, there is no taking risks. And without
taking risks, there is no making progress.
